Canada trip - Day 1 & 2

Our drive to Moab was nice and easy.  We  checked into our site at Moab KOA and soon realized that they were having power issues as our AC kept kicking out.  The trailer was 88 degrees.  We were not looking forward to a hot night so we talked to the manager and were given a different site where the electricity would be more dependable.  Woke up on day two with the wind blowing 20 mph, so we decided to get lazy and drive around to do some sightseeing.

First stop was Arches National Park.

The place was packed.  We have also been here in the late fall and found the temperatures and  number of tourist were much more manageable.  Nothing is better than stopping at a  turnout and right behind you is a tourist bus with about 40 Europeans and their cameras clicking.  Since we have been here multiple times, we did not stay long.

Next was a drive up the Colorado River that starts in Moab and connects with Interstate 70.  It goes up a really nice canyon. The river was very full.  We spotted a lot of rafters and campers along this stretch.

Tonight's plans are, dinner at the Moab Brewery.  We depart tomorrow morning where we will be trying our first parking lot camping at a Cabela,s in Farmington, UT.  The high tomorrow is supposed to be about 15 degrees colder than today.  😄
