Clear Creek - Memorial Day

Our first trip of the year was to Clear Creek campground with the Perea family (George, Francie and Crystal) and the Montano family (Ben and Anita).  This year the Forest Service issued Stage 2 fire restrictions which meant no wood fires of any kind.  They did allow propane pit fires.  George brought his along which was good.

 

Gloria and I took a day up into the San Pedro Wilderness - around 8 miles round trip.  This early in the year there were a lot of down trees to deal with but not too bad.  We went past San Gregorio Lake to Damien meadow and then on to Rio de las Vacas. 

We’re home for a few days and then we head to Seattle for five days for a wedding and a vacation.
