Oliver Lee Memorial State Park

Decided to try and find some warmer weather so we headed south for four nights south of Alamogordo at Oliver Lee Memorial State Park.  Turns out the state is having a heat wave so was a bit warmer then expected but the mornings and evenings were nice.  The park has some hookup sites with include electric and water for $14 per night.  The remaining sites are $10.  Park has bathrooms and showers which were quite adequate.  We were located in Site #1 but would have preferred #2, #3 or #4..

One day we went up to Three Rivers Petroglygh Park which has approx. 21,000 images.

Next day headed out to White Sands.  Was the one day during our stay that the clouds showed up which worked out for us.

And of course no trip to Alamogordo is complete without checking out the world's largest Pastacio.

So Kira is packed away for the winter - see you next spring.
